About me
I am Lian Krijger (1960), executive coach and founder of In Flux Career Coaching & Research. Born and raised in Zeeland, I moved to Wageningen to study Business Administration at Wageningen University. That increased my appetite for more: in 1991, I obtained my PhD at Eindhoven University of Technology on the management of technological innovation.
My interest in innovation and change has always remained and is the red thread throughout my career.
I started with technology policy development at the Province of Gelderland and set up the strategic marketing function at machine manufacturer and technological market leader Stork Contiweb. Technological innovation and new strategies place high demands on both organisations and the people within them. As HR Director at Contiweb and later TenneT TSO, I experienced the opportunities and challenges of organisational change, leadership and personal development.
Board dynamics and the play at the top have always intrigued me – especially that which remains unspoken but is still palpable, and can limit action. My supervisory roles at HAN University of Applied Sciences and on the Aufsichtsrat of TenneT TSO GmbH gave me valuable additional perspectives on how organisations function.
In search of a new direction in my career, I completed INSEAD’s two-year Executive Master in Coaching & Consulting for Change in 2019 (cum laude). My research into the influence of unconscious drivers on career choices inspired both the founding of In Flux and my practice as a coach.
As a coach, I am curious about your life and career story, your experiences and wish for change. I listen attentively, observe, and ask about what might remain unspoken. I am inquisitive, empathetic and supportive, yet I also bring in other perspectives. You may expect conversations with focus and depth alternated with humour and lightness. I do not offer a standardised approach, but rather a safe and open space where you can bring in and explore what matters to you.
